mochi pounding and tasting, Tibetan prayer-flag demonstration, and a special presentation celebrating
Fred Korematsu Day (January 30th), with a film screening and talk.

3pm Shirley Muramoto and Brian will perform “Manzanar”follwed by a talk by Karen Korematsu daughterof Fred Korematsu

Shirley Muramoto Koto Studio has been invited to perform “Fantasia” with Kazue Sawai, grand master of the Sawai Soukyokuin in Tokyo, and some of her students/teachers from around the world, at Stanford University's Pan Asian Music Festival. It is a high honor to be able to perform with Madame Sawai, one of the top performers on the koto today.

Shirley Muramoto and Brian Wong will be performing as part of the CKE, Vivaldi’s “Four Seasons” (1723), led by koto virtuoso Shoko Hikage.
